Post Natal Services
The first few weeks with your new baby are just as important as the birth, if not more. The 'fourth trimester' is a sacred time of bonding and falling in love with each other, a time of rest and recovery.
We believe every mother and family should be well supported and celebrated.
We can look after baby, if you need a nap or a bath, do a little light housework, sit together to talk over a cuppa and make you delicious and nutritious meals.
Maybe some breastfeeding support and sign-posting to other support services, such as breastfeeding clinics, sling support...
We can provide you with plenty of information and will support you in all of your choices. We will help you through the ups and downs of the first few weeks and set you on your path to becoming confident parents.
Whether you need a couple of hours each day, or more, or less, having post natal support will help you recover and thrive.
We have worked with women who have experienced post-partum psychosis after a previous birth, first-time mums and families, twins and those with older children.
"How to begin to thank you for being such a wonderful part you of the story of the birth of our little girl?! It's a subtle thing finding a doula, someone you trust, turn to and rely on when in what must be perhaps the most vulnerable moment in any woman's life. When so much is at stake and we just have to trust in the spirit of "opening up", mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually. What a journey! Not least with the help of your trusty camper van to help us move house and enable us to have our wonderful home birth! We very literally couldn't have done it without you. Having you there brought us the peace of mind and confidence we needed. Thank you!"
“Thanks so much for today – you’re a star. You returned calm to our house and enabled me to get through the rest of the day.”T.G.
